1. Product Description
HyperSilMag-Amino beads are magnetic silica beads functionalized with primary amine groups. They are designed for the covalent coupling of ligands such as proteins, antibodies, or peptides containing carboxyl or aldehyde groups. The hydrophilic surface ensures low non-specific binding.
2. Specifications

- Storage Conditions: 2-8°C. DO NOT FREEZE.
3. Required Materials (Not Included)
- Magnetic Separator (MagStand)
- Coupling Buffer: MES Buffer (pH 5.0) or PBS (pH 7.4) depending on linker
- Activation Reagents: EDC/NHS or Glutaraldehyde
- Washing Buffers: PBS, Tris-HCl
4. Coupling Protocol (Glutaraldehyde Method)
- Wash: Transfer 100 µL of beads to a tube. Place on magnet for 1 min, remove supernatant. Wash 3 times with PBS.
- Activation: Resuspend beads in 5% Glutaraldehyde in PBS. Incubate for 2 hours at room temperature with rotation.
- Wash: Wash 3 times with PBS to remove excess glutaraldehyde.
- Coupling: Add purified ligand (e.g. antibody) in PBS. Incubate overnight at 4°C or 2-4h at RT.
- Blocking: Add 100 µL of 1M Tris-HCl (pH 8.0) or Ethanolamine. Incubate for 30 min.
- Storage: Wash 3 times with PBS. Store at 4°C.
