Tandem Scientific's magnetic beads are designed with an ultra-small size of less
than 100 nm, providing incredible dispersion stability.
By forming a
Silica layer on the magnetic core and applying a PEG (Polyethylene
Glycol) coating on top, we have completely prevented particle aggregation. This
structure maintains a suspended state for a long time without sedimentation, delivering
optimized performance for automated workflows.
By activating various functional groups on the PEG layer, we minimize non-specific binding and maximize target binding specificity.
Silica + PEG Layer
The addition of a PEG layer after silica coating fundamentally blocks non-specific protein adsorption through steric hindrance.
Functional Activation
Various functional groups such as Amino, Carboxyl, Epoxy, and NTA are introduced at the PEG termini to efficiently bind with desired ligands.
Automation Optimized
Thanks to the suspension stability that prevents sedimentation, we guarantee 100% pipetting uniformity in robotic (Liquid Handler) processes.
